“Transformers 3” plot gossip is hitting the ‘net like flies on a rib roast. Apparently, Michael Bay says that the film will be in 3D.
Plot buzz includes such tidbits that robots from outerspace were the culprits for the Cold War between Russia and the U.S. (seriously – we thought it was the fault of World War II?)
Also, as an adult Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) has to figure out his connection with Optimus Prime (no word on any sex talks or bachelor parties).
Also, the big antagonist will be Shockwave, a one-eyed robot who guards the Cybertron once the Autobots and Decepticons left the earth.
“One thing we’re getting rid of is what I call the dorky comedy,” Michael Bay says, adding that the annoying, jive-jabbering twins are “basically gone.” Waaah? Witwicky’s parents are scene-stealers.
Despite pulling in $836 million, many fans and critics slammed “Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen” (go figure).
Bay has no bones being blamed: “I’ll take some of the criticism,” he says. “It was very hard to put the sequel together that quickly after the writers’ strike of 2007-08.” (http://www.hollywoodnews.com)
